Are People Really Not Confident That Eyanson Is Better Than Their Ace?

We’ve heard all year that it’s 1A & 1B. The kid has constantly delivered. He’s projected higher than their guy. The only thing that is scary IMO is that they’re the home team.

Yes they’re good. Yes they’re scrappy. Yes they absolutely can beat us. (Also nothing we say on the Internet will affect the outcome. It’s OK.)

LSU is the better baseball team IMO. With the best staff in America IMO. With the better pitcher IMO.

I believe we dogpile tomorrow. If I’m wrong I’m wrong. It’s baseball and shite happens. BUT we’re the better team.

I expect our batters to come alive tomorrow to give him support. I can see us winning tomorrow too.

His arm should be pretty fresh. Only 44 pitches in CWS to date?

I mean obviously he has the capability but he hasn't looked his best the past 2 outings. Before that he looked better than Anderson.

Doesn’t matter. They don’t throw anything we haven’t seen.

We have a bender tomorrow. Today was a fireball.

They can’t win if they don’t score.

Don’t worry I’m right there with you. I believe Eyanson shoves tomorrow as well and it kinda pisses me off when some of the talking heads act like CC gonna have a pitching advantage tomorrow when they really don’t. Eyanson doesn’t get the respect he deserves from a lot of people because Anderson gets all of the glory.

I’m of the opinion that this loss hit them harder than just being blasted out of the park by 5+ runs. Knowing that the game was on a razor margin the whole time and they couldn’t break through can really put a team in a rut. Plus their strategy of running up the pitch count did nothing for their overall prospects of winning in 3 games has to be a shot to the liver too.

I think it’s more than the pitching matchup. And no, their guy isn’t better than ours, plus having any reliever Jay sees fit is a cherry on top.

I thought Anderson pitched better against West Virginia, and they were a lot better at generating an offense against him. He was not at his best tonight, and he dominated Coastal Carolina. I’m not worried about Eyanson. He’ll be fine tomorrow.

Agreed Mr. Chicken. Hell. He’s more rested than their ace.

I have total confidence in Eyanson. He is a bulldog on the mound. He battles always.

Eyanson has been shutting down SEC hitters all year. Can’t say the same for their guy.

So we know Eyanson should be fine if he can catch his grove by the second inning we should be good.

Yes, this is exactly what has their panties in a wad.

I’ve decided to just be hope springs and anticipate Eyanson’s very best.

The only thing I worry about is the home plate ump broadening the strike zone in the top of the innings and squeezing it in the bottom.

Did it in the 7th, 8th and 2/3 of the 9th.

I think he realized he wasn’t going to make it out of the ballpark alive if he kept it going.

No doubt dogpile should happen tomorrow. If AE is spinning breaking balls at his full potential then good luck to CCU. After only 3 innings against
UCLA he could be the freshest going into a start as he’s been all year. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had his best outing of the year and thats saying a lot. But like you said, its baseball and therefore sometimes all logic is out the door.

Less about Eyanson and more about the bats.

Need hats for bats. Keep bats warm.

I think Eyanson outside being RHP matches up well against CC's lineup. Obviously he's a different pitcher than Anderson but they could not pick his curve up today at all and Eyanson's curve is his out pitch. Considering they want the long ball and he doesn't give up many HRs with the winds blowing in and high whiff rates on his curve I think he matches up here.

LSU needs to put the ball in play with Morrison on the mound as he pitches for contact.
