If a little lightning can delay a game, why not 100+ heat index?

Heat kills thousands more people every year than lightning.

There are no other games waiting to be played tomorrow - push it back till sunset.

The NBA finals game 7 is tomorrow night. No chance ESPN allows them to push it.

The two fanbases don’t overlap.

Omaha will have a much greater rate of diplomas.

From someone who has to fly back in the morning, I would love it getting pushed back a bit.

To be fair, sunset is like 9 at night local time this time of year.

I don't like how they have this Sunday afternoon game regardless of the heat.

I remember the championship series always being primetime games.

The heat evens the playing field in our favor imo.

fricking NBA ratings are down 54% in 12 years. It’s a dead man walking league. It’s the only sport that has a decline in ratings when every other sport is growing. It’s not just a decline, but a death knell.

with the temp near 100, and the heat index over 100, the temp on the field had to be, probably, somewhere between 112 to 115… thank god there was a good breeze… can you imagine how awful that would be if there were no breeze?… and then, think about if the game and conditions were the same and the game was being played here in baton rouge... then you could add our normal triple layer thick humidity to the mix… feel lke going out and melting on the sidewalk?…

Kade Anderson said in the post game tonight when asked about the heat…. Said pitching in the Super Regionals was much more brutal and it wasn’t even close.

… and ALL of us down here in brla know he is 100% correct… and for gods sake please do not make us geaux thru another summer likeva couple years ago… more than a month and a half with daytime temps ABOVE 105 DEGREES!!!… humidity levels some days were 125-130!!!!!… it was so bizarre and so far above the norms, even allowing for continuous planetary heating, that the records set during that period, and believe me i have checked, are not listed along with normal daily highs and normal periodic daily records… when most nights do not get out of the 90's, and no nights got below 85… if it doesn't cool down at night… that is almost, in some cases, worse than the ridiculous daytime highs… people can not get comfortable, and relax, much less sleep… kade made it thru tonight in omaha, and made it thru last week in brla super regional… and pitched spectacularlyn both… 130 pitches tonight… tomorrow anthony goes out there… and there better be that breeze… !!!GEAUXTIGERS!!!… …

You don’t think it gets every bit as hot in coastal SC as in coastal LA?
