Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson blasts 'narrow-minded' judging on SCOTUS: ANALYSIS

quote:
"This court has long recognized that the textual limitations upon a law's scope must be understood as no less a part of its purpose than its substantive authorizations," Gorsuch concluded in his opinion in Stanley v. City of Sanford. It was joined by all the court's conservatives and liberal Justice Elena Kagan. Jackson fired back, accusing her colleagues of reaching a "stingy outcome" and willfully ignoring the "clear design of the ADA to render a ruling that plainly counteracts what Congress meant to -- and did -- accomplish" with the law. She said they had "run in a series of textualist circles" and that the majority "closes its eyes to context, enactment history and the legislature's goals."
This beyotch has zero consideration for the actual constitution and would take your guns in a heartbeat.

Doesn't know what a woman is, so this isn't surprising.

She will be a nuisance for decades

Lost all respect for her when she cited an article in Ebony magazine as precedent.

There have been 2 schools on the Constitution for at least 70 years:
a. Textual....The words in the Constitution mean what they say.
b. Living/Breathing...The Constitution evolves just like all creatures. It means what I think it means.
Best example of 'b' ever was Roe v. Wade: 'When the Constitution says that the military cannot occupy your house IT REALLY MEANT that women have a right to get abortions.'

That’s why getting hold of voter fraud and open borders is critical. The day when we have 5 of the likes of her on the court will be a perilous time on US soil. Gun grabbing, hate speech laws, DEI on steroids…basically legalized subjugation of the evil white man.

She’s an activist , not a legal scholar

Diabeetus may end up getting her sooner than later

If she doesn’t like it she could always quit.

The “living” Constitution is such BS.

She's not totally wrong, though. Textualists lose historical context. Case in point is the 14th amendment. The natural born citizen clause was solely meant to give slaves citizenship, not enable people to jump the border and have kids.
But our textualists have ruled that the 14th amendment gives anyone in the world citizenship who can pop out a kid on U.S. soil. This clearly was not the intent when it was written in the 1860's.
That's why strict textualism is dumb.

I wouldn’t be surprised if she uses chatGPT for her opinions.

Sorry but women shouldn’t be in leadership positions that require keeping citizens safe.
Too many Feelings inside their bodies.
And that’s ok for certain things, but ultimately it with cause risk and eventually the downfall of a Nation.

Even Ruth Ginsberg said the Roe decision was stupid. She was pro choice but admitted that it's not in the Constitution.
