Problem is we have no other right hand hitting options. Arambide is the only other guy on the bench, but you have to save your backup catcher in case something happens to Hernandez.

Unfortunately I haven’t been able to watch too many games this year, so that was the first AB I saw from Pearson. I thought his swing was good with really good bat speed.
Admittedly I wasn’t expecting that when he walked up to bat.

This! Unfortunately, we don't have a better option. But OP isn't entirely wrong. Since March 9th, John Pearson is 1-14 with 8 K's.

The whole team isnt a great offensive team right now. With Dickinson in the shitter you have 2 auto outs in the linup. A lot of singles and ocasional Jones HR gonna have to pitch the lights out and play D.
