Wedding during CWS Finals

Friend of mine gets married Saturday night.
Sorry, baw, tigafighta is headed to Omaha.
Don't worry, I'm not in the wedding, not a super close friend, just an old buddy. I am not the trashiest on tRant.
But lesson learned as myself and a couple others will not be at the wedding. Do not get married during the CWS finals. Do not do it. 52 weeks a year, and you choose this weekend? Unreal
I will be at Charles Schwab, 14 beers and 7 whiskey waters deep, watching the Tigers win #8. Please get offended that I'm getting drunk, please!
See you baws there. Fly out tonight. Cannot wait!

I'll be watching on my phone. I'm thinking of putting a TV in the trunk and setting up in the parking lot between her dances.

No, he was playing at some small school and figured his career was over after that season. Made the wedding plans. Then ended up with another year of eligibility and transferred to Louisville. But I agree, at that point they should have rescheduled everything, but they didn't.

When are people allowed to get married? Can't be during football season. Can't be during the CWS. I assume march madness and masters weekend are out too.

In 2023, my daughter planned her wedding for the finals weekend, not knowing it would be the finals. She and her new Husband are Hog fans. There was a mix of Razorbacks and LSU at this wedding, so the TV was on in the bar at the reception, and we watched LSU win game 1 with the chubby boys Beloso and Cooper coming through. Of course, the Hog fans were booing. Drive home was miserable the next day. Hungover and listening on the radio as Florida whipped our arse. But the next day was glorious. So it all worked out. Just need a TV and a bar...

In his defense the CWS is not as easily planned around like football season.
