Booked flights and hotel for CWS, scheduled to fly out this evening.
I rarely fly.
I have no “RealID” or passport.
Louisiana licensed, recently moved to Texas.
How fricked am I? What are my options (if any)?
Damn, seven pages.

I read the first few comments, then I burnt out of the office to see what I could get done.
Fact 1: there’s lots more shite to do to get a dl in Texas now (compared to 25 years ago).
Fact 2: you need an appointment at the dmv (dps here).
Fact 3: you need your birth certificate to get a dl here.
End result, I’m driving to Omaha in a Texas registered/plated truck with a Louisiana driver’s license. Headed out in 30 minutes.
ETA: full refund on airline tickets

Oddly enough, they accept your costco card along with your non-RealID license at airport security if you don't have RealID.. You should be fine.

Some of those title places do real id. Would probably be quicker than going to the dmv

Are you a Texas resident? That maybe an issue if you haven’t transferred your license to Texas yet which it sounds like you haven’t or else it would likely be a Real ID?

Yea go to one of the independent places that handle DMV stuff first thing this morning and get your ID. They do it instantly. Make sure to look up what you will need to bring with you to get it.

I flew 2 weeks ago and they had people without real ID or passport. They pull you to the side and do an additional screening. If you can't go get one this morning you can probably just show up to the airport early and deal with the extra BS.

Why did you do this? There is no way you didn't know about this. Also, however you purchased these (website, phone, etc) probably gave you multiple reminders along the way. It did for a flight I booked recently.

I got my real ID in 15 minutes at Thibs Title. Had my birth certificate, Louisiana driver's license and a Slemco bill with my name and address.
If you don't have that, try slipping a few bills and check for a positive reaction. Be prepared to slip additional bills until you get desired results.

Texas, unlike Louisiana, doesn't give you an ID on the spot. They mail it to you in a week or so. They give you a piece of paper with no picture as proof

Just ask TSA for a ID10T form when you get to the airport
