Discounting Coastal due to SOS

I know these posters are either trolling or just dumb but here are the facts.
Coastal is 12-6 vs Q1- 67% win percentage
LSU is 17-11 vs Q1 - 61%
Coastal is 20-9 vs Q1 and Q2 combined - 69%
LSU is 27-12 vs Q1 and Q2 combined - 69%
Coastal is 14-1 against Q4. We are 21-2 against Q4 demonstrating that we played a lot more shitty teams than they did.
The Sunbelt isn't the SEC but it's usually not a terrible conference either, but their nonconference SOS is ranked #5.
We played 3 common opponents - Kansas State, Alabama, and Auburn.
They are 4-1 against those teams, we are 3-4.

Nobody should dismiss Coastal Carolina. It’s going to be a battle

So your argument is coastal didn't play as many tough games as we did but have the same winning percentage so it's the same?
I think you just reemphasized the point that SEC is a meat grinder.

This won’t even be close. Both games.

When did those Q1 wins come? Not all Q1 wins are the same. For instance, a Q1 win in a mid-week game isn't nearly as impressive as a Q1 win in a conference series.
Just looking at their schedule, they played NC State, Wake Forest (x2) and Clemson (x2) in mid-week games.

Most of those Q1 games are ACC teams throwing midweeks arms. Kade and Eyanson are going to make costal hitters look silly. Without walks and HBP costal has an average offense

You’re scared of Coastal dog. Tigers are going to fry their arse.

I have not seen anyone discount Coastal, but if they did one could look back at Ark-LR and not be overconfident.

The biggest advantage or talent disparity in their opponents is that they haven't seen anything like Anderson, Eyanson and Evans and I seriously doubt they've had relievers come in throwing over 100 with serious movement.

26 straight is 26 straight. Any team that makes it to the college World Series finals is legit

We play auburn now we take at least 2/3, not getting swept.

Agree, but they also haven't faced 2 first round pick starters. CC has solid pitching, but nothing that will overwhelm what LSU has already seen so far.

This. A P4 program is never going to use a weekend starter in those games during the conference slate, so they will often drop some of them. A win is a win, but it’s a valid point.
As for the conference slate, there’s only one other really good team in the Sun Belt, and Coastal beat them.
All that said, Coastal swept their regional, whipped Auburn (which was slumping a little down the stretch, but still a good win), and handled their side of the bracket. They are a battle-tested team and they’ve proven they can beat anyone. No one should take them lightly.

This same argument could be made for any non-SEC team. No one outside of the conference has played an SEC type schedule. But that obviously didn't mean that only SEC teams were good enough to make it to Omaha

This. Dutton had a great season and improved tremendously. But he also tailed off quite a bit down the stretch and got touched up a few times before they got to Coastal. Our top 3 are as elite as it gets.

and Auburn.
Doesn't count. Remove those games from both our schedules and start over.
Coastal ain't beat nobody worth a shite in a 3 game series.
They were also run ruled BOTH TIMES by Wake Forest in those games.

Correct. Add to the fact that Quad 1 invokes a sweep at Troy who didn’t even make the tournament. This is a perfect example of using specific data points to make any point you’d like. Regardless they’re still a good team, but the data provided here isn’t the reason.

Nope I just don’t see it and I don’t trust the analytics here. They are Good but not the degree of cws final good. They got an easy path and capitalized. They are good but not world beaters
If they played lsu schedule they would not be on a 26 game schedule. Just not buying it
