Feels like not. But man oh man, a game of inches for sure

I was waiting to pinchrun for him but understand not doing it in a tie. When the ball got tipped I could celebrate immediately.

It was also 2 outs so maybe still scores

CF definitely has a play. Everything went wrong for the Chokerbacks in the 9th.

2nd baseman was 2 inches taller we’d probably be playing Arkansas again tomorrow

Feels like he only scored by about 3 steps, felt like a ball straight through with that throw, he is prob dead

Nope. So many fortuitous events to the finish, it's crazy.

Would have been closer where he would have had to slide but I think he still scores.

I think so. Hernandez isn’t a total station wagon running.

This is a game of inches. We had multiple examples of that tonight.

Disagree. It was already tied. Dont think arkansas was coming back after the davalan debacle in left

It was hit pretty soft so I think he still does. Jared didn’t even think it would get through.

ETA - Jared said in his presser that he thought it was caught. It didn’t have much on it, but just enough to get over the 2B.

ETA - went back and watched and it was hit a little harder than I thought. I thought it was more of a looping line drive but it probably gets to the CF quicker and creates a play at the plate if he missed it.

Simply can’t take out your catcher in a tie ballgame.

But his arse was getting sent whether tipped or not imo

I don't know that he was exactly booking it either. I feel like he may have had a little bit more in the tank if he had to use it.

Glad you posted this - I was thinking that it might have helped us even as it was happening. I think there would have been a play at home plate if not tipped. Hernandez was striding his fastest and showed no hesitation. Would have been close.

Yeah, you wouldn’t want to risk throwing Arambide out there cold like that with the game on the line in extras. Not as a true freshman who’s let a few skip by.
