Opens tomorrow (6/19). Just got my tickets for Friday. Anybody else checking it out this weekend?
quote:

It's been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped from a biological weapons laboratory. Still living in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amid the infected. One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily defended causeway. When one of them decides to venture into the dark heart of the mainland, he soon discovers a mutation that has spread to not only the infected, but other survivors as well.

Will be a fun watch to see their take on how the virus would evolve after nearly 3 decades of time. Whenever I see these zombie type shows I always think to move somewhere where there is an actual winter since that should freeze the undead.

I doubt I will see this in theaters, but I am pumped about this one and hope they do something cool with the virus after all this time.

The first 28DL is a top-tier horror/zombie movie.

I liked the first, also.

The second movie's plot was stupid.

If you've seen one zombie/post apocalyptic film, you've seen them all...

That's why I'm skeptical about this one, despite how good the trailer looks. Can they tell a post apocalyptic story that hasn't been told at least six times already?

I saw a 30 second clip of someone talking about how the focus on this movie was to flip the general idea of these types of movies on its head. We'll see. Looks interesting and it has Voldemort in it.

I always liked the first one and watched again the other night. Pluto for the win!

On thing about these movies are the zombies are the running kind….not the plodding dull kind….which IMO is more intimidating. You have to plan for both types.

Like others have said, the first is a top tier zombie film. The second is meh but kinda cool with some good action. Can’t wait for this one.

Reviews are coming out and they are saying if you expect anything like the first 2 movies you will be disappointed. Apparently they took some risks in this one and general audiences will be split on some choices

not really a spoiler but my understanding is they address the issue of the infected starving to death in the first two movies by having them “evolve” into…something else I guess

28 years is a long time
I’m super stoked to see this and see what they’ve come up with. After all that time there’s simply no way that shite hasn’t gotten weird
