UCLA down 7 never seemed that way. I am pretty sure as a fan I would be mad they weren't as butt hurt as I was about losing. That said probably best in baseball to stay loose.

So I need the baseball experts to tell me how to feel about it

I think they were just happy to be there and they knew that they were going up against teams that were much better than them.

not sure if you have ever lived in oir around LA. i have. half the population gives zero fricks about sports PERIOD. Even more do not care about college sports except when the bandwagoners rode USC's dick in 2003 and 2004 and 2005.

the sports fans there only care about dodgers and lakers.

UCLA players prolly have a DGAF atty like most the population in LA about college sports.

I didn't see anything wrong with them having some fun. My wife didn't understand; she wanted them to be upset about being down by 7 runs. I remember talking mad crap to Oregon fans in Jerry's World; they would not engage the entire game. After the game, they were very complimentary, and I felt like a dick for talking noise to them.

Or maybe they went 19-33 last season and were enjoying the moment

They’re a young team and just about all of them will be back. Helps you stay loose when you don’t have 20 seniors in their last ever game.

As long as they were sincerely having a good time I have no problem with it.
It is a sport and not life or death after all.
If it was some kind of act then it was pathetic.

i lived in san diego for 6 years and sacramento for another 5-6 years, and i can attest to this. MOST dont give 2 shits about any sports. the majority that do give a shite care about the 9'ers and Raiders and Dodgers and Giants.

the only time i saw any fan support of college athletics was at a wedding where a bride and groom were USC\Ucla grads AND they were getting married on the day of their football game. it was actually kind of wild, for them, but something I had not seen at all in close to 10 years there.

they mostly have a 'we have better things to do' mentality, unless they like pro sports.

It is one thing to win or lose graciously....it's another to be laughing and cutting up while getting your arse beat. I was not raised nor am I built that way. Can you imagine alabama players laughing while getting their arse beat while Saban was there?

Their SS is very impressive. They were given an extremely bad hand by having to play twice yesterday. Them using their Closer against us was a really weird situation and it didn't pay off but that doesn't take away from the fact that they were given a very unfortunate situation with the weather delay forcing them to play twice. Fully expected Arkansas to win

I don’t get the problem with having to play twice in a day. The only person that would be tired would be the catcher. You’re not going to use your pitchers from the last game anyway.

Everyone is tired. Some teams deal with it really well but its a factor, make no mistake about it, that is a real factor. And if you don't believe it then you clearly didn't listen to the players from our game or the Coaches.

UCLA is also a very young team; most of these kids will likely come back for another shot at it.

That’s the thing. They don’t have fans.

What’s wrong with hoping “Rally Cheese “
coming through. We cool with possums ,crickets , guy getting hit in the head with a blast from Tommy Tanks and so on…
