Bet he gets the ball to close tomorrow if LSU has a tight lead, or to start Thursday if it comes to that.

Eyanson said after the game he throws around 45 pitches in a bullpen session so basically he threw a bullpen session in yesterday’s game.

He said he normally throws 40-50 pitches in his daily BP sessions. I would think tomorrow is all hands on deck minus Anderson to avoid having to play Thursday.

That’s not even remotely close to the same.

May be the worst of any combo you could say.

It is remotely close from a fatigue standpoint. He even pointed to that
I’m not saying he can go a pitch 7 innings tomorrow night but he could easily come in a pitch 1-2 innings 30-40 pitches.

while not as outwardly observable as past teams, this roster has some fricking dogs. tomorrow night is gonna be a war, but they aren’t phased by much. hard to believe so many people were having a literal meltdown during the SEC tournament

Of course he was. It’s not shocking to anyone that a finely tuned athletic machine felt great after barely throwing the day before

Not the same. Pitcher isn’t putting 100% into every pitch in a bullpen session. Plus the 45 pitches yesterday doesn’t include probably another 40 in warmups pregame and between innings

Love the kid but its a good thing he didn't. He will be well rested for the next time he pitches. Whether that is a short stint in a potential Thursday night game or starting game 1 or 2 in the CWS Finals.

Ware, Cooper, Cowan, Noot, and Shores are going to be the first 5 (in no particular order) pitchers we use tonight. I think they try to only use Noot, Cowan, and Shores but depending on situations I could see Cooper Williams brought in to face a few hitters. Same with Ware but he would have a much shorter leash.

Man I hope we close it out tonight so we don't have to burn Anderson from a CWS Finals start.

Fans are going to have to realize that once we have a top 8 seed locked in Jay will try to get back from Hoover as soon as possible.

One thing in LSU'S favor is that Arkansas isn't hitting the cover off the ball in this tourney-- even during the "perfect game" they were only up 1-0 in the seventh!

They started hitting the ball a little better against UCLA last night, but it's not like UCLA had their best arms available. Even against that pitching, they weren't exactly that impressive at the plate. Aloy did most of the major damage.

No reason that Anderson can't pitch an inning.

Not remotely the same as ramping up for a start and then throwing 40-50 pitches in a game.
