If you had one meal in Lafayette, what would it be?

Need ideas, have my favorites, but looking for suggestions.

Gotta be the hardest question asked on the food board. It really depends on the season of the year and whether you're asking for a snack or a meal. If you're looking for suggestions and wanna try something a little different than the usual Cajun options, try alligator sauce piquante or fried oyster mushrooms baw

I don’t know the answer to that one, but if someone asked me the one dish I’d want brought back, the seafood gumbo at Evangeline Seafood & Steakhouse.

The stuffed bell peppers at Guidry’s Reef/The Oyster Reef were also delicious.

Been about 20 years since last time I’ve been, but yeah…the whole stuffed flounder or the Crab Dinner. That might be on my list.

Rare lamb chops on top of the bed of spicy shrimp alfredo at Poseidon’s would be my favorite of all the dishes over the past several years. Assuming we’re talking specifically Lafayette city limits.

I don't live nearby and only make it once a year, so I haven't been to too many different places in LFT.
The one thing I get almost every time I visit is an oyster poboy from Old Tyme Grocery.

The first thing that comes to my mind is the Spinach and Artichoke Dip at Deano's with the Fried Eggplant chips.

Whole fish from Vestal

Marcello’s pork cheek Marsala is very good too

The best item I’ve had over the past couple years was a Veal Chop special from iMonelli, but that probably doesn’t count because it was a special and not on their menu.

I haven't tried the whole fish yet but Vestal would probably be my pick as well.

Roasted oysters
Tuna crudo
Ribeye steak
