We are going to a Braves game Wednesday. Do we need to buy parking passes or is there plenty of parking nearby?

I recommend parking across 285. It’s a walk but you will get out of there quicker and parking is usually around 20 bucks. They do offer a shuttle if you don’t want to walk. Try around:
1100 Circle 75 Parkway SE

If you go early (I think it’s 3-4 hrs before) you can park in red deck and spend $50 in the battery and it’s free. Just make sure you get them to validate it where you spend your $50. It can be multiple places but make sure they will do it before you spend the money.
N29 is the only tailgating lot if you’re wanting to tailgate.
I like B9 and B11 the best. Usually $40-60.

I stayed at a nearby hotel and walked. The $ savings from parking offset a decent chunk of the room, plus I could drink in the Battery pregame, inside the park during the game, and not worry about paying for transportation.

We got in to ATL from Covington this afternoon, Hyatt Regency Battery, going to 3 Mets games.
So B9 or B11 buy beforehand or in line to get in?
I like idea of paying $50 and get validated. We’re doing stadium tour tomorrow at 10 am, my son’s birthday tomorrow, big Braves fans.

This. Parking in/near the Marriot. $30. 10-minute walk across 285 to 3rd base side (the Battery is on opposite side). Easy in/out. No traffic.

So how does this work? You can leave the car in the deck and you just use the validated pass to exit, or do you have to take the ticket back to the car and put it on the dash?

Yes. When you leave they just let you out.

I always set in the Delta club and get free parking.

its a pain in the arse no matter what . Its the main reason I've reduced my attendance from 15+ home games per year to maybe 3 or 4. The parking and uber situation takes most of the joy out of attending a Braves Game

I did this last time and it was good. They did not have a shuttle running though. Just walked across the bridge and getting out was “easy” for Atlanta

This is the way. The walk is not bad at all.

I live in the metro on I-20. I try to attend one game a year. If the MARTA ran out to Truist, though, I would probably attend several games a year.

We moved away from there some time ago but I still go back sometimes for work and to see family. If in the summer, I try to get to a Braves game.
If I'm not mistaken, the bus goes out that ways but from I-20 it will probably be a long ride even after getting off the train.

yeah, I get that the Braves are more of a "regional" team than most, but the lack of public transportation/reliance on a car to get there is wild compared to most other ballparks in the league. Give me a $5 day pass on the city's subway/lightrail and a stop a block or so away any day over that shite show.

Trust me , it took about 5 years after the team was illegitmately moved from Atlanta to Cobb County for me to muster up the strength to see a game in Truist
