Would there be any way to know if any of these rockets are equipped with a nuclear warhead either before launch or after launch? Obviously, once it would hit, we would know but how can a small country, like Israel, be able to respond if they would be subjected to a first strike nuclear strike?

I know in Annie Jacobson's "Nuclear War" they discuss the possibility of an inbound ICBM having conventional warheads and not having confirmation of it being nuclear.

So my guess is no, although my only reference point is that book.

Apparently you can track those missiles by speed and how fast/slow they travel indicates the type of missile fired. Not sure how true that is however but seems plausible

This puts into a greater perspective as to why Israel absolutely cannot allow Iran to enrich weapons grade plutonium or uranium.

My fear, and it has been a fear for +40 years is the potential for a suitcase nuke or some form of small scale nuke being smuggled into an area and detonated, I don't think it would be an impossible task for a terroristic nation to pull this off.

Israel having a nuke is a bigger concern

They want Israel gone, as in the people, but they do not want the land uninhabitable......they want the riches left in place.

I thought she said in the interview with Lex Fridman that we have a satellite that can immediately detect this. Then the clock begins ticking for the President to decide WTF to do.

Is there a better cover for a nuke than among a volley of 'conventional' warheads?

No country goes further out of their way to avoid collateral damage than Israel.

Yep. Detonated in the sky at the proper elevation, most radiation dissipates and fallout is minimal.

Detonate even a small-scale nuke at ground level, and an area remains hot for hundreds of thousands of years. Goat rapers don't care about that, because, 72 virgins and such.

Nukes are basically irresponsible for anyone to have, but here we are with most world powers having them. But most of those world powers are at least somewhat responsible with their knowledge of detonation and delivery systems. Last thing we need is some goat herder clan irradiating a 20 mile radius around Tel Aviv.

I think that’s a lot harder than you think. Every major city has radiation nuclear sniffers

There is such a thing as a just war but there is not a fair war. Someone that should not have died always does. Be fast and deliberate as you can with overwhelming force to create its own end

The main issue with using anything besides icbm or air drop delivery is the cost to produce a warhead, and the risk of wasting it. They're about 15 Billion each

They don’t know. Any ballistic missile launched could have a nuke. By actually shooting off all they have, the Iranians just demonstrated how much of an issue it is if a regional power in the Middle East had both techs and the will to use.

Ukraine was able to get railcars of drones into deep Russia.

Miss Lindsey, the President of foreign policy, says they all have nukes and are aimed at the US.
