The same suspect was arrested in October 2014 on a charge of “intention to injure or kill an officer”, a source told the WAFB I-TEAM. Earlier that same year, he was charged with aggravated assault with a vehicle on an officer, sources said.
He was taken into custody near the Academy Sports store on Siegen Lane in Baton Rouge.

The officer, whose name has not been released, was on his way to work a funeral detail at nearby Zoar Baptist Church at the time, WAFB’s Gabriella Mercurio reported.
The officer was left with two broken legs and a broken arm, among other injuries, sources said. He was listed in extremely critical condition at a Baton Rouge hospital.

This is why I have no tolerance for violent offenders. They shouldn't be let out.
