Do you pay for someone to cut your yard?

I dont have a very big yard. Takes about 1 hour to cut, weed eat, and blow off the sidewalks. Had a couple kids come by and quoted me $35 to cut it. I told them I’d do that. $35/week-10 days is worth it to me.

I do but I’m out of town 15-16 days per month

No. I take pride in the things I own. If I didn’t want to manicure and take care of a yard, I wouldn’t have bought a house.

So you change your own oil, fix everything g that breaks in your house, etc?

yes for 15 years now, same guy. He’s a teacher at Hammond High and does yards as a side gig. He shows up 2x a month with 2 students and knocks it out
I mowed that shite long enough; it’s well worth it

Nope, won’t happen until I am physically unable to.

Yeah, until they’re deported

Is the answer yes here supposed to be a bad thing?

Tech,
Don't confuse him - he gets his lies all mixed up.

Glad to see kids are still willing to work for $$. But, as long as I’m physically able to cut it, I’ll do it myself. For a season, I had someone cut it for me. Always felt they didn’t do it as good and you kind of lose touch with what’s going on in your yard and around your house.

Yep. 30 bucks a cut/weed eating to the neighbors teenager that does it. Well worth it. Takes him less than an hour usually and he does most of the block.

I landscape using native species so that it works and looks great without me having to do shite.
As long as they don't completely frick it up, that is a good price unless you have a tiny yard.

I spend BIG for yard maintenance. It’s these 2 knucklehead sons of mine.
Took a few cuts for them to get it like I want it. But now family members and neighbors have hired them to cut their lawns and do some pressure washing work. I’m glad they’ve taken a little pride in their work. It’s paying off for them.

It's a new gun every month or two depending on what I pick.

I'm playing the long game. Waiting for all our landscapers to get deported. Sure, labor costs will go up, but that's OK because then there will be a ton of those fancy zero turn mowers for sale cheap, and I'll do it myself.
