Pizza Index

The Pizza Index refers to the sudden, trackable increase of takeout food orders (not necessarily of pizza) made from government offices, particularly the Pentagon and the White House in the United States, before major international events unfold.

Government officials order food from nearby restaurants when they stay late at the office to monitor developing situations such as the possibility of war or coup, thereby signaling that they are expecting something big to happen. This index can be monitored through open resources such as Google Maps, which show when a business location is abnormally busy. Conversely, on-site locations around government buildings (such as bars or night clubs) that show less activity than usual also give an indication of the pizza index, as government employees that would normally go to these locations after work are instead still in the office.

The index can be used by those not employed by these agencies to get an idea of what a government, and particularly its intelligence agencies, is focusing on or expecting to happen in the next few hours or days.

They've already got a rather large McDonald's in the building and are also building another "restaurant" inside. Amazing place. It's got almost 20 miles of passage ways inside. But from the freeway looks like a large factory or something.

Seems like the Pentagon’s own cafeteria needs to step it up … as a national security issue.

Eh. That graphic tracks phones at a general location. There is no way that there was a huge line of people from the Pentagon standing there waiting to get pizza.

Among cafeterias and eateries, they have the equivalent of 3 main base PX's plus a ton of service shops inside that place. It truly is its own city.

It costs $2.3B per day to run it.

Does that include salaries?

If not how is that even possible?

Somebody on Truth posted a graph of traffic at the gay bar closest to the Pentagon, 9pm was super slow.

Pizza is like sex... even when it's bad it's good (enough).

Although, I agree that Domino's really tests this maxim.
