Rural Polish are called “cold elbows” because they drive with their arms leaning out the window.
Was told this by a Polish friend while hanging out in their cabin an hour out of Warsaw. It was very country. Cool people too.

Rednecks are everywhere. In Japan they are called "inakamono" or "country bumkins".
