What is the cost of replacing a 4 ton ac compressor that has a gas hookup?

Feel like the quote my guy was throwing out seemed absurd based on my google and AI research. Would be a full replacement and hook up

Had a similar situation recently. All the quotes I got were 20-25% higher than what all the AI bots told me it should be.

I had one put in 6 months ago and was $11,900 about to out another in different smaller house $8900
That’s for everything new air and heat.

All I know is these new units are all giant pieces of shite and you need to find some under the table baw who doesn’t speak good English if you don’t want to be proffering your arse to the A/C guys every 4 years

The gas furnace is on the air handler/evaporator side, though. It's basically entirely independent of the condenser/compressor side.

Are you talking about a gas pack unit? Your question doesn’t make sense.
