There are things people can point to. Phones for example. But curious to see what answers people have

Televisions. They are cheaper, bigger, and clearer than ever.

Might be pretty challenging to find something that isn't tech related because that's where the bulk of the advances have been

Materials science will eventually create better products as well

Aside from the obvious tech stuff probably some kitchen gadgets like air fryers and pressure cookers becoming more available or better

Casual dining places like Applebees, Chili's, TGIFridays etc, they've stepped their game up with the quality of food and fairness of price. Some of their deals are cheaper than fast food places which have mostly gone downhill over that time frame.

Battery powered tools.

Everything tech including hands free, pre collision and lane keep assist for cars and blind spot monitoring.

To piggy back off the appliances... i bought my last gf an glass stove/ oven that had an air fryer built into it.

Maybe we should put people in TV business be in charge of higher education. Imagine lower tuition and better quality of education.

Ive been hearing this from my employees. They swear the Chilis on College is great. Last time my wife and i went there was ten years ago. Long story short it sucked. We joked about her chicken dish being ‘dishwasher chicken,’ as in cooked in the autochlor (not unheard of). I remember an era from the late 80’s to the mid 90’s where chains were generally cheap, not overly trashy, and most importantly concise. I (foolishly) optimistically pray the tides of time will roll over just once more, in our glaringly short existences, in favor of cheap, not overly trashy, and concise commercial dining for maybe just a decade or two until the worlds society rolls itself into obvlivion.

Joint replacements get better every month. It's amazing what they can do, especially with knees, compared to 10, 15 years ago.

Sporting event concessions (food)
Wifi on planes
Ride share availability and dependability

I guess some of these are not "products" but I'll leave them anyway

I agree that phones have improved over the last ten years but I think over the last 3-5 years it’s really slowed down as far as major new functions.

You compare an iPhone 12 to an iPhone 15 and it’s basically the same phone.
