You Spanish blue eyed sonsabithches in Mexico, who have economically enslaved the indigenous Central Americans since Cortes rolled through in 1521 are very fortunate the US didn't make Panama the southern border of the US on April 1, 1914 when the Panama Canal was completed.

End of fricking message!!!!!!

This messaging is some of the dumbest shite I’ve ever seen put out. They should consider themselves lucky we allowed them to keep anything at all, we went all the way the Mexico City but didn’t take it. Might need to rethink that and fix that mistake.

Just an overlooked detail, but when Cortez showed up with his couple of hundred armed men, thousands and thousands of local natives who were subjugated and repressed by the Aztecs joined him in order to overthrow the Aztecs.

For sure, Cortez was after wealth, but he was successful because the Aztecs were hated by the peoples they ruled, who all joined up to get rid of them.

I've been saying for years the US should tell every nation state below the US southern border to stay put.....we'll bring the American Dream to you.

Not really. More accurate to say their land was given away as a settlement for peace and Santa Ana's life. He traded that land for his release.

For every ounce of gold/acre the Louisiana purchase cost, our 1848 purchase cost 67% more.

If we consider what's going on currently in the US you are 100% correct. I'm not sure what $15 million would be as an equivalent in 2025 but what ever it is it isn't worth the BS we're dealing with.......should have just absorbed everything from Panama north into the US back in the 1800's
