Typically cringe douchebags, but they perform a noble and necessary service for the 1st Amendment all the same, like the Church of Satan in such endeavors.

You forgot about semi-public property.

Remind me again exactly what service filming a police department parking lot serves? Because that's what they always do and apparently only because they know it will set the cops off.

Stand out front and shoot them the bird or say something objectionable in a City Council meeting. That's the First Amendment and I can get behind protecting that. I don't give a flying frick if we have video of the police department parking lot. I can understand the agency not wanting officers doxxed these days.

LEO, of all people, should know the law. They shouldn't be "set off" by legal behavior. That's a noble and necessary service, apparently.

Again, protecting their IDs is s a problem.

All people have to do is ignore them. They can't put you on the YouTube if you say nothing because people aren't watching nothing being said. But, for some this impossible and they get sucked into the confrontation.

Ignore them and nothing happens....

Try to exert BS authority and shite happens.

Every cop, or anyone in the general public should know whats allowed in public.

I 100% love the people who get theirs phones out to record when theyre complaining about people recording.....

Probably bc they are ignorant of the law. Especially police. They’ll violate your 1st and 4th amendments in a heartbeat. Even though, they took an oath to uphold those amendments.

To be fair, it’s not necessarily all of their fault. The training in those areas are lacking.

I’m amazed that cops keep falling for it as popular as it’s become

Never heard of it.

Is this a TikTok thing?

Like those neck beards who drive through a border patrol checkpoint and film themselves acting like a retard screaming “I know my rights! Am I being detained!?!” Then post it to YouTube so guys like Dex Morgan can stroke their cock.

They're not filming because it will bring any service in and of itself, the service is to hopefully help local LEOs to learn about constitutional rights.

Cops are not above the law, and the police state, whether it be federal, state or local, is not your friend. Covid should've showed all of you what police will do under the guise of, "public safety." When their master (the politician) gives them an order, they'll blindly follow it.

Less revenue generating and more quality community police work would do wonders for their public relations, but if they don't know basic constitutional rights it's all a wash.

Agreed. But I always wonder, as with most videos, what are we not seeing. What was done/said before the officers respond to the "auditor", what are they doing behind the camera to get the reaction, how can we be certain that these videos are not being edited to help the content, etc.

It's not always because they're ignorant of the law, they know most people are ignorant of the law and they often take advantage of that.

One of my close friends became a BRPD officer years back. He quit after a year because he didn't want to be associated with a group of people who routinely took advantage of ignorance to violate a person's rights.

Cringe TikTok wannabes looking for their 15 minutes. Similar to the Gravy Seals doing a "Second Amendment "audit.
