I bought one for alajones2 about 15 years ago. She uses it about 3 times a month. It still works.

If you bake with any frequency they are very nice to have and make things a lot easier. If you don’t bake it will be a space occupying waste.

I’m sure it is.

My question would be, why would you think it was not?

It’s a fairly simple machine. For what you will most likely use it for and the amount of times you will actually use it, it’s gonna do what you want it to do.

It’s like blenders. I don’t buy fancy ones and the same Walmart blenders i have bought still work just fine after quite a few years

They don’t break in my experience. Had one for 10 years.

We've had one for about 3 years and it looks real nice in the cabinet. The first day we got it it worked great. May try it again in a few years.

We’ve had one for almost 15 years.

Your real fun happens with the attachments.

Want to make homemade pasta? Grind meat for burgers or sausage? Ice cream? Grate a 5lb block of cheese? Juice a gallon’s worth of oranges?

It’s like that old commercial slogan: there’s an attachment for that.

Wife loves to bake and uses hers weekly and loves it.

Only negative is they are loud!

I used to make homemade pasta with the attachment when I had my old house. right now, my mixer is eating up a lot of space since I have no room to spread out to make anything until the house is finished.

They are durable and last a long time. There are some other brands that do well too though and it depends on the aesthetics you want. Honestly, the 5 qt Kitchenaid is about one of the cheaper options with others going over it for the most part that will last though.

My former boss has a cake baking/decorating business. She loves her KitchenAid mixer.
