the recruiting model has just changed - the portal has created a 'build a team' every season type scenario. If young players get on the field their 1st year they can stick around...otherwise coaches are going to the portal to replace whatever they lose and non experienced players keep getting pushed further down.

Yep shouldn’t start til after Omaha. I couldn’t imagine have to recruit your arse off while trying to get ready for a Super Regional or Omaha game.
