This is how I feel about all these handheld gaming devices in general. I spend 100% my time gaming laying on my very comfy couch in front of a large 4K tv, holding a properly sized controller.

It's by far the most optimal and enjoyable way to play games to the point I have absolutely no interest at all in playing any of other way. I own a Switch and have never once played it in handheld mode.

The major utility I see with a handheld gaming device is keeping kids occupied in they stuck somewhere awhile they're likely to bored. So if you're on a long road trip or stuck at the airport or something.

So there is a legitimate audience for these devices and I'm just not a part of it.

But I think much like when the PS and Xbox chased the motion control craze following the Wii. The audience for PS/Xbox overlaps very little with the audience for desired for and use for handhelds. As an adult I can occupy myself more easily in situations were I"m stuck somewhere bored. Also, if a legit banger game had just dropped, say a Bloodborne 2, why would you compromise your experience playing it on a handheld? I'd much rather wait a few hours and play it properly at home in the premier setup.

Seems solid.

Very nice it has integration with Steam, GOG, Battlenet, Ubisoft connect and of course Game Pass all while running W11.

This. Nice that it's not locked down to some proprietary OS for Gamepass. This will sell well if it's reasonably priced

Too often I'm sitting on the sofa next to Mrs TTown playing Slay the Spire or Balatro on my tablet while she watches something on the tv that I'm not too invested in. I very recently started looking at handhelds to pass that time.

I'm interested, but doubt I'm holding off till the holidays for this. Probably just grab a Steam Deck instead of waiting.

I wonder how this would work with the "multiple logins" issue. Just not viable if I can't play a game on this while my kid plays on the X. This is one of my only complaints with Game Pass in general. I can't play a game on my phone if my kid is playing a Game Pass game on my X.
