Most Presidents who have been targeted for assassination have survived them - Ford, Reagan, *Trump, FDR are notable ones, but there have been more. Only four US Presidents have actually been assassinated.
* Trump actually wasn’t President at the time but had been and would be again. It’s hard to kill someone, especially someone so closely guarded. The successful ones were well in the past when it was easier to get close, like the poor Colombian candidate.
