In particular starting pitching. Heat index at first pitch is 101. It will probably be 105-108 on the field. It was 76 in Morgantown today. I would think it’s gonna be a factor.

Yeah, both teams would feel much better off playing in Morgantown.

Playing at 1pm in June should be illegal

It's not gonna be the heat. It's gonna be the moment, the fans, and the venue.

Listened to a couple of WV podcast on youtube today just to hear what they are saying about LSU. One was saying that this WV feeds on big crowds and loud environments. Talked about how much they enjoyed the Clemson crowd. Will be interesting to see how they handle the Box.

My in-laws are from WV and we go often in summer . Closer to Charleston than Morgantown but about same elevation. It feels like the Deep South w all the skeeters, heat and humidity.

Clemson's crowds are about half of LSU's.

I went to Morgantown in August with friends back in 1983. They were complaining about how hot it was, people were passing out from the heat, and it was nowhere near as hot as South Louisiana that year.

ETA, Morgantown is closer to Pittsburgh than Charleston.

Yeah, in-laws live sorta between the two. I’ve been both cold as a well-digger’s arse and hot as hell there.

It will have an effect. I think it will be slight. By comparison, I would think an athlete like an offensive lineman would suffer much worse. These guys are young, and conditioned. If hydrated properly, they rebound and recover fast.

Reminder that Kade is used to pitching at night. The effect on both pitchers should be similar

There will be some impact on their team but both Pitchers are going to feel the impact of the heat. Kade is not someone who typically throws during the days for us either. No one likes playing in the heat and humidity.
