What bill do you propose they pass that will do everything you want and get 60 votes in the Senate?
What is the better plan, that will actually clear
Congress, than passing this reconciliation bill and then passing the rest of the cuts Trump wants via individual bills?

Lots of staunch principled conservatives on here that just want to see Orange bad fail
If we dont get these tax cuts things will get very weird. But Elons not helping selling this bill and the Rs arent doing any favors explaining it
When do the Senators release their version?

I don’t think your question really addresses the opposition, which is mostly in favor of calling for a budget showdown here and now. They want Trump to take a stand on cutting the budget, and use his considerable salesmanship to bring public pressure to get a deficit reduction bill he can sign into law.
So the answer to your question is that there is no such bill that can get 60 votes right now, but after months of battle and public pressure? Maybe. We would like to find that out.

You don't need 60 votes to pass a bill in the senate.

1. How about a mandate to cut 10% in every dept, esp defense?
2. Then, tax cuts.
Two bills.
10 pages long each.
You see, as a normal, thinking man, I can comprehend the larger the bill, the more the bullshite.

The Dems will not move. If you cannot find 60 votes in the Senate, this bill is how things must happen.

Which Dems do you think will join Republicans on this? Name 10.
When that plan obviously fails, because surely no one actually thinks it wouldn't, what happens to everything this bill does?

They keep saying they want a vote by the 4th of July. They'd better hurry.

A simple fix: increase taxes on the rich and more spending cuts. Balance the budget.

Right now? None. The same could be said in 1980, but Reagan’s trouncing of Carter changed the picture, and some Dems supported Reagan’s agenda out of self-preservation.

Our system is not capable of delivering what is needed.
The best it can do it bits and pieces.

And what is so great about this bill without cuts? Explain to me why I should want this. Are you just a groupie who wants it just because Trump says it's good? Even though it's just another bloated bill, no different than what democrats would write?
I'd rather pass nothing and then have these assholes sit and explain to us all why they won't pass the cuts. But we never do that because of people like you.

I don’t necessarily oppose the BBB per se, it’s not perfect, matter of fact it’s kind of a polished turd, but it also seems to be an obstacle that has to get taken care of before anything else can get done spending cuts wise and I do love the tax cuts. I’m just all for whatever it takes to get us to the point where a new Farm Bill can start getting worked on.

Exactly. It is set up that way. Opposing this bill opposes what is possible.

This is a political forum where people discuss political issues. Nobody is "opposing" anything, nobody on this forum votes or will have any impact, at all, over whether or not this passes.
What I don't get is why it actively bothers so many of you that negative aspects of the bill (or anything) are even discussed. Do you have any ideas on that?

1) The BBB is not getting 60 votes in the senate. They are attempting to pass it via reconciliation which requires a simple majority.
2) You truly are a slave for excusing another $4 trillion in debt. I have children. Myself along with my kids and their kids will be saddled with this bullshite. This is the same frick up that Trump did his first term with that omnibus bill.
3) You either want government waste ended or you want this bill passed. This bill is one giant pile of shite and will deservedly get axed.
You sound just like the fricking democrats. "We have a win because we passed a bill." It's not a win for the American people. It's a win for the politicians.

Yes, conservatives are against waste and government abuse. You love it because "orange man good".

$2.6 trillion in additional spending is not a tax cut, genius. Who pays for that additional spending? Oh yeah, TAXPAYERS.
