I’ve been a huge LSU baseball fan since I was a kid in the mid 90’s and my least favorite thing about the sport is all the fans bending over backwards to be classy to one another. frick that, this is sports and I want to see rabid fans taunting the other fans. I want to see outright verbal hostilities. I have always thought we need more football atmospheres in Alex Box Stadium instead of 65 year olds who give the golf clap to the other team when their outfielder makes a great play. Trust me, Breaux, no one was happy or congratulatory after the Miami of Ohio fiasco. Sloppy game in sloppy weather where LSU completely dominated statistically but couldn’t hold on to the darn ball.

That’s their coping mechanism that helps them sleep at night among longhorn and tiger fans. They can’t simply comprehend that people who didn’t go to school there are fans of college teams because nobody who didn’t attend their school would never be a fan of their teams.

I really miss the left and right field line hecklers. Opposing team outfielders caught hell. It was brutal sometimes. I remember sitting on the 3rd base line for a game when an opposing hitter came to the plate. Kid couldn’t have been tallper than 5’-2”. Heckler shouted “damned, batter must kick up
