I miss the days when minorities and alternative lifestyles just wanted to be accepted and tried not to stand out too much. Now everyone wants to be set apart and want to try to force us all to celebrate them.
I feel like in the 90's and early 2000's, most people accepred everyone else. Racism was at it's lowest point. No one cared who people slept with or even who they married.
Now it is not about being accepted, but being celebrated...and if you don't celebrate everyone (except straight white males), you're a bigot.
Because of this, racism is back, perhaps stronger than ever. People hate alternative lifestyles because it is pushed on us and even on our children. If everyone would just be who they are and shut the frick up about it, no one would care.

Well it is nice how toned down all of this stuff is this year. You can tell the majority of companies have taken several steps back in anything pride month related just by how little you see relative to a couple years ago. The Bud Light fiasco plus the election have provided them a valuable lesson about the american public that most have taken at least some of it to heart
