Michael Earley will be looking for a job.

LSU hitting tonight was pathetic

Was Freys homerun our last hit? Credit their pitcher but man this team can go ice cold with the bats for long periods

4 hits tonight. Two by Frye. Pathetic

That wasn’t an error on Kent
Lazy had errors and or balls they normally make plays on.
Balls could have fallen too.
It is how baseball is

Their centerfielder had half their putouts

It was good enough
Sure, but no one can be happy with that hitting performance against a bullpen running on fumes.

Yeah because A&M’s offense lit it up this year

I agree. He’s a complete fricking joke. He pissed away all this talent, yet there probably won’t even be any accountability.

Yeah Tom I agree so strongly. I kept thinking it was a slump, but these guys just aren’t very good hitters. That weak arse competition early on was a bit of a curse for me. My old arse kind of fell for that shite. We must hope these frickers take their adrenaline and play over their heads these next few weeks cause they’re going to have to be!

Jones got obliterated on one at bat, was made to look silly. Stanny is having a hard time determining depth of outfield hits these days and not making catches he should, seems to happen every game.

No doubt Tigers only got 4 hits tonight and struck out too many times looking.
BUT , I counted 7 times we barreled up balls "right at" defenders.Odds says they will start falling.

I don't think Jay forgot how to coach hitting. Most of his Arizona teams hit and his teams at LSU have been near the top of the league in average and xbh. This group of players haven't been consistent enough to produce results away from the box. I'm not sure why that is.
Only gripe I have is his strategy. He plays for one run too early which ultimately puts pressure on the pitching staff late in the game. Take last night for example. He's giving up an out with his three hole hitter with two on no out in the bottom of the first. You're going to struggle to have big innings by doing that.

The good news is we won’t be leaving the box until Omaha
