Is there anything that can be done about them? My family’s personal phones as well as home phones get them almost non-stop.

I was at Verizon last night & the employees there said they & many customers also complain about them.

I was hoping that Pakistan would nuke them all, but ol' Trumpie screwed that up for us.

Damn him and his peace mongering!!

That only helps with legitimate calls. Easily 90% of all Spam calls today are scams coming out of India and honestly at this point I'm just starting to hate Indian people in general because of it. Yeah that's irrational but Jesus Christ it's ridiculous and their country does nothing about it

I don’t care if a politician needs $5 to save the world. I’ll never donate to another one again.

The political texts are out of control. 10-20 a day.

I don’t get many calls at all, sorry to hijack this, but figured it was just as annoying.

I’ve joined every donotcall list I could find. I don’t get the 20ish calls a day I used to get but I still get 8-12 a day. I refuse to vote for any state incumbent because it does not appear anyone that works for the state wants to pursue this problem. It’s so bad for me that when people ask me about moving here I tell them not to for this issue alone. It’s absolutely ridiculous how bad it has been for me in this state.

If you have caller ID, most of ours only say “___city___. ___state___”.

Obvious spam.

I’ve found that not having a voicemail message, and sending every number not in my contacts to voicemail immediately cuts down on spam calls drastically. It’s not zero, but it’s much less than it used to be.

They have ramped up lately. So have the text spam.

Apparently TEMU is doing a lot of recruiting for at home workers.

I’ld be surprised if any WERE an actual person & not those robo-caller devices.

Also, if you verbally respond in any way, they can use that. That’s why we never answer.

How about all the “snail mail” ads during election times?

A couple years ago, I was getting several a day. I used to make it a game and mess with them but eventually I got tired of it but the calls kept coming. I paid for a service that was supposed to catch them but it didn't work.

1 day I answered with "Thanks for calling Dominoes, can I take your order?" They immediately hung up and the calls stopped.

I have no idea why that worked. Is there a law about calling businesses? Are they scared of large corporations? I have no idea, but it worked.

Give it a shot.

I get about 6-8 calls a day. I've kind of accepted it and don't really care. My phone is on silent most of the day since I'm at work.

Never answer the first one. Set up voicemail and use it for any number you don't recognize. If you don't need voicemail, don't use it. Even it being active can register a number as active. Only give your real number out for stuff when you absolutely have to. The last spam call I got was back on September 29, 2024.

Spam emails? Now, they're off the charts over the past few months.

Oddly enough, for some reason, political calls are not regulated or prohibited by the legislation related to the Do Not Call list. Wonder why that is???

I’ve got an android and if it’s spam it will show up as “suspected spam call”.

I send them straight to voicemail.

I don’t have a voicemail. Maybe this is the reason I don’t get that many spam calls like others do.

I don’t see the reason for voicemail anymore. Just send me a text if you can’t reach me by phone.

Do not call list didn’t help much in my experience, I was still getting 10-15 spam calls a day. Blocking the numbers as they called also did nothing.

I bit the bullet and got the Truecaller app a few months ago & paid for their premium service, spam calls stopped immediately, I don’t get any at all.
