Simple... they write the story.
Media is pretty protected. That protection was supposed to allow for an adversarial relationship with government to better inform the public.
Who knew they'd become bedfellows with government instead and adversarial to the very people their constitutional protection was enshrined to inform?
While that legacy system is quite broken, we are blessed to live in a time where we can hear, see and read non legacy information.

I'm not sure the media has gotten away with it.
As their lies have been exposed, their power has eroded. Despite all their lies, they could not prevent Trump from winning the presidency. Considering where he was at the end of his first term, and despite attempts to keep him off the ballot, the lawsuits, the trials, and even bullets, he still won.

Yes, I found out about them but the people I found them out from have no power to prosecute anyone over it. As long as they end up getting away with it they will continue the same methodology. Conceal, deny, and cover up when the environment around it is white hot and then admit what they did and tell people it is no big deal when the environment cools down.

Podcast, You tubers, etc. We can watch it or listen to it straight from the horses mouth. No more so called experts from MSM giving us their bias opinions. Press secretary gives us the facts from President Trump or Trump tells it straight to us. No more middle man needed
