May be she just wants to be closer to home, she is from Jersey but we shall see depends on where she transfers to, if it’s not a team closer to home, mist have been other factors. Shame that she stays 3 yrs and her sr yr she leave when she probably has her best yr because of experience and she gets healthy

According to another outlet it was mutual decision, if you watched her pitch she had awful body language. She cost LSU 4 games in the SEC this yr, she cratered vs UL, Stanford! It’s funny many of you want Beth fired but somehow forgive Berzon for giving up the runs to get beat by SE. We need a dawg, someone that can strike out the side when something goes wrong not someone who gets beat by Southeastern

As much as I hate to agree.....I do agree!!!! Spend the big bucks and get a 'dawg'!

Possibly.
But I'd also venture to guess there isn't a huge professional softball market. Thus, this might be her best and last opportunity to leverage a nice contract as a softball player (either from LSU or elsewhere). For lack of a better statement, it may just be that she likes LSU, but simply wants to test the "free agency" market.
While I don't like it as a college sports fan (not necessarily softball), I understand why a college player would choose to do it.

A more consistent Heavener and they may have a shot
They definitely need another experienced pitcher from the portal but they didn't get that from portal last year and is LSU NIL willing to pay for that?
Otherwise you will have to rely on another freshman to come in ready which is hard to do in the SEC gauntlet

There's something more to this.
Beth kept saying how she was hurt the last half of the season, yet she kept starting her for one game a week and than bringing her in in close games during the 6th and 7th innings.
For her to leave Beth, it is a lot more than physical stuff.

OUCH!!! This stings. When healthy she is still one of the most effective pitchers in the country. Confirmed that she pitched injured much of the year. Hopefully not headed to an SEC rival but wouldn't be surprised if she did. Please no OU!!!!
