Per Adam Crowley on Twitter. Local Pittsburgh radio host. Probably a nothing burger but if moved we better get a really nice haul. None of that Pickens crap

Often injured and concussed = mid round pick at best

The saints aren’t trading Olave unless they get a ridiculous haul for him. You can’t have a rookie qb and then give him shaheed and cooks as his top targets.

Hopefully he plays well up to the deadline, stays healthy and then if we’re as shite as everyone expects, see what the market is at or around the deadline.

They just committed to exercising his 5th year option. It is smart of Pitt to reach out and see how much we value him, but with the Saints willing to guarantee him $15.5M next year tells me that the Saints will demand a lot for him.

Is Pitt a team that is known for overcompensating on trades?

I rather see the team trade him to guarantee getting something in return. With the way contracts go, he will play through 2025 and try to get a deal similar to Tee Higgins before 2026 ($28.75M a year for 4 years). He may play on the 5th year option in 2026, but that gives him more leverage in 2027 when this team should be able to start making noise (if Kellen is the answer)

Id absolutely trade Olave but I only want draft picks, no players unless they are young with upside but teams don’t trade young guys on cheap deals that produce. I’d take a 2nd rounder in next year’s draft right now for him. We won’t get a 1st because of the concussion issues even though he’s a 1st round player when he’s on the field. This is more about not having to pay him and getting a nice pick to help replace him.

Keep Olave and get him healthy. The guy has all the potential in the world to be a top 15 WR. And we should be able to sign him to an affordable contract because we’ve already effectively killed his stock.

Olave is very close to done. You aren't getting much for him because he's a concussion away from having to retire.

He will never sniff top 15 at his position, there’s just too much talent and they can stay on the field, unlike Olave. The next concussion is more than likely his last too. He’s always been too small to hold up in the NFL.

Would be shocked if we got a 3 given the massive decision regarding paying a guy with his history. Would shake their hand off though.

For the life of me I don't get why people don't understand this....demanding a 2nd or 3rd for a guy who is about to have a skull full of pudding is ridiculous. Take anything decent and move on from him.

Anyone who isn’t part of the future should be on the table. Olave should fall into that category given he will likely want to be paid like a 1

It's time to blow it all up and start over anyway. Stock as many picks as you can.
