I’m about thirty minutes in and this guy is a cartoon character. How did he dupe an entire generation into thinking he was THE Egyptian Archaeologist and that he has it all figured out. My childhood is a lie. This guy is so full of shite. ITS IN MY BOOOK.

You got much further along than I did.
“I got 4 people to move that 20 ton stone!”
“Cool, how”
“Workers. We Egyptians are workers!”

He has been ful of shite for a long time toting the party line. Egyptians did not have the ability to make the pyramids and manipulate granite.

He claims he has found the tools used to build the pyramids. Joe asked if we could see pictures of them.
Of course…..they’re in my booook

Is an Egyptologist denying that the Jews built the pyramids?

Im adding "it's in my book" to all my taglines now

The guy presented himself terribly, but I still think the Egyptians built the pyramids. Somehow some people think it makes more sense that aliens, whose technology had to have developed well beyond our current technology, showed up one day and showcased mastery in stone craft, something their civilization would have moved beyond even moreso than we have.

He was fired and should have been run out of the country for selling artifacts on the black market, but Obama loves him, so not only was this forgiven but he got his job back.
He's a slimeball.

I got five minutes in and had to bail. I couldn’t understand a word he fricking said. His accent is so thick that it took too much brain power to listen to a subject I really don’t give a shite about.

Joe showed the patience of an adult dealing with a kindergarten kid. I would have lost my cool with the guy a hundred times.

This was the first JRE episode that I started bc I'm interested in the topic, and had to turn it off. That guy is a joke

He stated several times that he keeps an open mind, but routinely lashed out discrediting any point made not of his own creation, often not providing any proof why he didn't agree. There were hypotheses he had never even heard of before, but it didn't stop him from proclaiming "That's wrong!" and ignoring the follow-up "How do you know?" questions.
This is a example of authoritarian and condescending academia acting like they are kings, and discussing anything with anyone outside of academia is beneath them. They will profess and teach to them all day, but good faith discussions are out of the question.

That was a really fckking hard listen. I couldn't make it through the entire thing

Saw this thread and tried to listen to the whole thing, but only got about half way. When Rogan called him out for being hostile I gave up, the dude is a joke, wouldn't answer any clarifying questions, and just talked about his BOOOOK.

I'm listening it to it now.
I can only echo what everyone else said.
The guy is a total arse. He's unbelievably arrogant and reminds me of a Tunisian I once worked with. I can see why that area of the world is always in conflict with each other.
Joe is going to completely dismantle him the next time G Hancock is on the show.

I only made it an hour. Every one was right. He just talks and thinks he knows it all.

I was in Egypt 2 Yeats ago and they HATED that guy in the places we went. Serious hate. He'd basically shutdown or hijack the work of any other archeology types and claim their discoveries as his own.
