That is legit surprising, he has never really shown interest in doing that.

I honestly can't imagine he would be very good at it compared to Chuck

That being said, I am REALLY impressed with what NBC is doing.

They are going the opposite direction of what ESPN/TNT have done in the past, trying to produce a very serious basketball production that honors the game and the players with good analysis, instead of the constant tearing down of players and wishcasting every good player to the Lakers that ESPN/TNT do

If there is anything MJ is know for, it's building up other people and his understanding of the challenges of others

Remember that time he couldn’t beat Isaiah Thomas so he campaigned to have him excluded from the Olympics?

That’s certainly not the most beta cuck bitch move I’ve ever seen. Nope. That’s not gay af at all.

You aren't wrong here

But NBC has been pretty vocal about going in a different direction

Did Jordan finally get one off Isaiah around the time he was plotting to keep him off the team?

Provide some details for those of us who weren’t there.

An example of how LeBron fans just reach new levels of sad whenever Jordan is brought up for any reason.

Doncic to the Lakers....in-season tournament.

You have to think NBA probably already hit its peak viewership based on current media models.

The China boost is effectively over and even receding...then you couple in the slow death of Europeans who are quickly aging out of the NBA target demographic and what are you left with?

Is Africa next? Thats the only place in the world with a TFR above replacement.

Seems like the core audience is the same audience its been for the last 30 years....since the beginning of the MJ era.

Gen Z isnt watching NBA...theyre playing vidyas.

Latin America isnt an NBA audience....Asia (Asia has the worst TFR on earth).

What will the NBA look like 20 years from now? Their branding is comically try hard in terms of appealing to younger generations. They did everything they possibly could to turn the NBA audience into a strictly young urbanite demographic. The wide appeal of the 90s was deliberately carved out and amputated from the league.

Additionally, the players are far less interesting...most of them are "handled" from a young age by Nike/Adidas etc. in the AAU circuit, then move to private HS basketball. They have no appeal to the common man, theyre born and raised to be basketball players. Their stories are not rags to riches but super talents groomed from age 13/14 by Nike representatives.

Isiah was over the hill by 1992. They picked Stockton and Magic for the point guards on the roster, Stockton was nba 2nd team and defensive 2nd team that year, Isiah didn't make any list. Magic was getting picked no matter what.

Tell me where Isiah was better than Stockton leading into the olympics?
