I said it in another thread. They CAN'T praise him, otherwise they are praising Hitler.
It’s why they're in such a bad way because a lot of things he is doing are very/semi popular.
The more he does things the People like and the more they CAN'T give him credit/good news, the larger the gulf/trust is between the media and the People.
