Maybe next year for Beth Torina

Southeastern is really good. LSU beat them by one during regular season . Same thing with (Number 6)Texas AM , one point

Of course OU gets the easiest path
Paired with a 21 loss Bama in supers

29-1 over first 30
12-13 over last 25
Didn’t play Tennessee this year but they finished #4 in the SEC and beat Oklahoma on the road so looks like a tough path to OKC. 2017 was our last trip to the WCWS

I know everyone is worried about Nebraska because of Bahl, but they were only 2-5 against Top 25 teams in games she pitched (with one of the wins over barely Top 25 Ohio St in a game she gave up 5 runs). Nebraska has given up a lot of unearned runs behind her. That said, Nebraska is certainly more dangerous than similarly ranked teams in a short series because of her.
SLU is a tough out for a #4 seed. They were always coming to LSU due to antiquated travel rules, but by RPI rankings they should have been the last #3 seed, not a #4. They played LSU, FSU, and A&M tough, but #66 Iowa St is the highest ranked RPI win they have. They lost series at home to McNeese St and Nicholls St. Not the walkover you would hope for the #4 seed, but LSU should take care of business.
I definitely didn’t want to draw Tennessee due to Pickens, but I’m not sure how the Vols got the higher seed. Yes, they were 15-9 in conference, but 4 of their conference series were against SEC opponents who didn’t get national seeds while LSU had only 2 such series. They also went 1-3 non-conference against the Top 20, while LSU was 3-0. LSU was 10-12 against the Top 20 to 7-10 for Tennessee.
UCLA is also questionable as a higher seed. They were 5-5 against the Top 20, but had 5 other losses compared to only 2 losses outside the Top 20 for LSU. With the head-to-head win and better RPI, I don’t see the rationale for UCLA ahead of LSU.

Another year of not being a top 8 seed.
Another year of hearing this was going to be the year.
Another year of Beth not living up to the hype.
She probably just needs more time.

6th in RPI, 10th seed. That’s a frick job.

Same thing year after year....Beth needs to go! We need fresh blood in the softball system. Beth gets shown up big time by many other coaches and teams.

I agree, but the end of season swoon didn't help matters.
By now the selection committee has to be used to seeing us start strong and fade down the stretch. Maybe to them, it's not how you start but how you finish that matters.
This team is so Jekyll/Hyde that you never know what you're gonna get. We've proven that we can hit the ball, but we've also shown that we can implode with unforced errors and extremely erratic pitching.

Yeah we should have won more games, but who else had their last 4 league series against what would be the #1,3,4, and 6 seeds in the NCAA tournament? Of course your record isn't going to be great. I think the committee should consider that and I don't think they did.

Let the hitting coach take over, he is a young Jay Johnson!! Having said that Beth isn’t going anywhere this yr.

Kissing west coast arse, as usual. LSU also had a very good RPI at five. Either way, they just don’t have consistent enough pitching to win it all this year, although Heavener and Berzon at times are nearly unhittable.

LSU lost Pleasants, Briggs, Gutierrez, Newland, Petty, Lynch, and Carson from last year's squad. Literally NO ONE said this would be the year.
Number 10 national seed is impressive when you consider above.

If we don't get out of our own regional Beth could be dismissed

I know South Carolina beat us in a weekend series early in the year but they had no business being a 8 seed over us
