Is there any chance we do not fire CBK is we miss playoffs again.

We will lose to Clemson obviously because they are a very good team and we will not be prepared. Add in 2-3 SEC loses and we will be close but maybe no cigar. Does he get another pass?
Does it matter if ND gets in again? What about if Ole Miss or faggies get it?

They are not firing him at 9-3 and most likely not at 8-4. Anything worse than that and I would say it's highly probable. I may be wrong, but I believe his buyout drops precipitously after 2026. So I'd guess he's here at least another season unless this one is some debacle like 6-6.

He's not getting fired this year unless it's something like FSU's season last year. Even at 6-6 I don't think he gets fired. His buyout would still be over $50M after this season is over, it's over $60M right now. So unless it's something unspeakably awful, maybe a players mutiny where he loses the whole team, or does something that allows him to be fired for cause and void the buyout.
Coach O's buyout does end in December finally so if this season doesn't go well then I think he's on the hot seat for next year.

There would have to be something catastrophic for LSU to fire BK after this year. Like an FSU type collapse, and I'm not even sure that it would happen then.

IMO, if LSU goes 9-3 and does NOT make the CFP CBK will NOT be terminated. It is simply too expensive to let him go. 8-4 or worse and it is 50-50. Need to win at least 9 games during the regular season.
CBK's payout is so gigantic that he is protected against being fired after 4 seasons unless we were to tank.
