I've only been waiting on this movie to be made for about 35 years.

Read the book a couple of years ago. Looking forward to this.

Love the book and always had a difficult time imagining what a film adaptation would look like. This looks like it has potential!

Have read the book countless times. Honestly looks a lot better than I thought it would.

So I liked the trailer and thought to myself go see if it is on Audible and give it a listen before the movie. Went to my Audible app, searched the title and it was already downloading! WTF!!!

Books like these you have a vision in your mind of what you'd expect a movie to look like
This trailer pretty much nails it - I have high expectations now

They nailed the aesthetic! I was always a little concerned that they’d opt for something more “cyberpunk” since it’s technically a dystopian society, but I love seeing the armored cars, M-16s, and the grounded 60s-ish setting.

That gave me a semi.
Love this story and have high hopes for the screen adaptation.

Right? My first thought was wtf took so long?

They seem pretty upbeat at the beginning. It has been decades since i read the book so i don't remember if that was the case in print. Pretty amazing King wrote this book before reality television and dystopian novels about it like the Hunger Games. The Running Man needs to be remade next.

Not a lot of hope for a well made Stephan King adaptation.
Trailer looks good.

There are no crowds. In the book the people were lined up 20 deep after a few days and the crowd grew from there the longer it went.

The crowds grow as they cut down on contestants...
After watching the trailer, it looks like the crew that made this, got the story.
I have high hopes. .
Had to look it up, Mark Hamill is "the Major".
He will nail that role.

Who amongst you would do this for The Prize?

I sure as hell wouldn’t. I’m guessing some desperate people would try.

That's who that was. My first thought was Stacy Keech.
