Great and revealing conversation into 3 indicators that China is heading for a crash. Some won't watch it because its longer than 5 minutes. Lol
But, it's very informative.
Discuss in detail how China devalues it currency in past but no longer is effective.
Depopulation
Economy/Debt
Declining foreign investment

Perhaps no country has experienced the sort of growth of China. From losing 40 million people to famine, purges and state-sanctioned murder, to becoming one of the greatest exporters on earth with the second largest economy in the world in less than 6 decades, is phenomenal to say the least.
This has led many to understandably conclude that it is only a matter of time before China surpasses the United States as the premier economic and military power. But is it true? Today, we will review 3 indicators that can help predict whether China is an emerging global hegemon or on its way to collapse.

Have not watched yet. But word is China does not purchase their own goods they produce. Their economy is entirely dependent on exports sold.

MEH...
People have been saying this since the late 90's
But if it's true this time Americans should be very worried. When they do reach the breaking point full scale war will be their last effort to right the ship.

Watch the fricking video, listen to the information, then decide. Or don't, doesn't make me two shits either way.
They discuss facts, not just opinions. I found it compelling.

He’s a former SF guy who served in the VA state house. He’s quite intelligent.
Edit : enlisted in army after 9/11 and became a Green Beret. Ran a a veterans assistance charity when he got out. Still in the Virginia legislature.
Go to Wikipedia dude
Very anti-woke and family-oriented man.

With most people having their money tied up in unbuilt real estate, they have no disposable income and arent consuming, ie deflation for over a year now. Which means prices declining and no consuming.
Now export companies are dumping goods on the local market, expect not only exporters to go under but many many local businesses now.

The factories worked overtime to get goods on vessels before the tariffs hit. So now they will start to feel the effect.
The businesses will feel the crunch in another month because the tariffs did not effect any "goods in transit".

People have been saying China will collapse for decades at this point and it still hasn’t happened….

Wow, way to self-own. So you have strong opinions and have the time to post them. But too lazy to do any research at all.
Nice. Adding another mindless, lazy, yet opinionated jack arse to the ignore list.

Okay nerd. I’m more than happy to do research. But I’m not going to listen to random people on YouTube. You literally anyone can start a channel on there and make videos saying anything they want.

China has been “about to implode” for 3 years now.

Thanks for posting this.In addition to the possible financial problems China could be facing they discuss their declining population. Unless there is a course correction China will lose 700 million people by 2100. The 1 child policy has had long term devestating consequences including a surplus of 35 million young men. Because of multiple generations of one child the people are now conditioned to not want or expect more than that. Correcting this will be nearly impossible.

quote:it is well known they have a consumer problem. It's not as absolute as that poster implied, but it is an issue in their economy.
You actually believe this?
They are actively trying to sell more of their production in-country. It's a wage/price problem. They pretty much got addicted to export pricing and low wages.

Yeah, Peter Zeihan has been talking about this for about a decade now and people started picking up on it after he predicted the Russian invasion of Ukraine a decade in advance:
Highly recommend. Get past the informal nature of the video - the guy knows what he's talking about.
FTR, this goes against what every has said since the late 90's - everybody thought China was going to run the world based on demographics, or the sheer numbers of Chinese citizens. Well, turns out there's more to geopolitics than just population size, and even that turned out to be a lie.
