What happened to The Varsity Theater in Baton Rouge? It no longer books live music?

Looked on its website last couple years and it shows nothing. They used to routinely have good bands come through 2008-2012. Lots of Hard Rock bands. Had Snoop Dogg, I believe. Other major label bands.
Now all I see is some band called The Bends booked.
Did they get their eyes sued out or something? Are they just not advertising online?

I'm almost 40. I don't know.
Back in my day though they used to book some decent acts for piss poor Baton Rouge.
Hard to believe it has been 18 years since I was attending concerts there.

My wife took note there 7 years ASU to see whiskey meyers. Had a great night and often thought sit that place

That's a shame.
They have had some pretty big acts come through over the years.
I hate to be a downer but BR nightlife has gone to shite over the years.
Back in the day (late 80's - early 2000's) you could see decent (and sometimes, very good) live music several nights a week.

Remember Cowboy Mouth was regular there in the mid-late 90’s.

Last time I went there was for Trivium/Sevendust. Few weeks before that was Gwar. Saw Deftones there on the Koi No Yokan tour.

I got really high and saw Badfish, the sublime cover band there in like 2006 that was so much fun

I can't even remember the last time I saw a band there. I would guess somewhere around 08.
