That WWII generation was the greatest generation
in American history. Those folks rallied around our flag and pulled together, willingly made sacrifices todays people would riot over.

I've traveled to 53 countries..mostly for work. we have very few compared to the rest of the world. A few days around Christmas to be with your family wont ruin the country.

Correct! Veterans Day is always on November 11 and it commemorates WWI Armistice Day that occurred on the 11th day of the 11th month at the 11th hour.

Covers all and I have no problem with that. What is the problem with having a day for honoring different wars? It will not interfere with work or cause unnecessary federal days off with pay. Did anyone complain when the turnip came up with trans day at the White House?

Trump is right the French, Russians, Brits all celebrate V-E day. We didn’t win the war by ourselves but we made it possible. We supplied the oil, steel, food and weapons. The invasion of Normandy is only possible with the US involved. Our bombers operated in daylight and the Brits at night. The Russians gave the blood of 25 million people. The end of that should be celebrated by all.
