Stupid to have Les at #2, he was turning the program around and I believe he was exonerated too on the off the field issue.

Chad Morris at Arkansas is correct. Apparently the bum never even moved his family to Fayetteville. Willie Taggart to Florida State should be number two. Smoking weed with recruits on official visits and dicking down COEDs at the Community College up the road.

The les miles Kansas hire was only bad in hindsight, if the list works that way it's fair.

At the time most people thought it was a big pull for Kansas.

Dino Babers was 41-55 at Syracuse in eight years. ACC record was 20-45. Terrible coach, only Greg Robinson was worse for the Cuse.

Barbers would have been the 7th black coach on the list, they weren't going there.

I saw this the other day and, if memory serves, Harsin was at number 10. Waaaaay too damn low.

If not for limiting it to just the past 10 years, Tyrone Willingham would absolutely be on that list for his stint at Washington

For what he did and the amount of money he’s still making Dumbo Fisher should be there

Jeremy Pruit was always a guy that interested me because of his meteoric rise in D1 football.

He turned a Bama playing & student coaching career, and what he accomplished as a high school coach, into a Director of Player Development gig in Tuscaloosa. He was successful enough in those duties over the next couple of years to be promoted to Bama's DB coach.

Two years after that FSU hired him to be their D coordinator. Dude was moving up because the 5-star DB's were becoming All-Americans, and he was recruiting like crazy. Bama would have probably been at that level of recruiting without him, but FSU was going against him with those Florida kids. If you can't beat em, hire em! And it paid off for FSU when they beat Auburn in the 2013 Natty!

At this point I feel like I have to link his 247Sports "All Time Recruits list.

There are 11 5-star recruits at the top of his recruit list. It isn't all DB's, LB's, DE's and DT's. There's an OT and two RB's among the Pruitt 5-stars. If you don't want to do the link, I'll copy & paste the list below.

After being the National Championship DC in his one yer at FSU, Georgia came calling. Georgia needed him because Todd Grantham bailed on Mark Richt. I say that he bailed because he left UGA to be the DC at Louisville under Bobby Petrino. I can remember wondering why he thought Louisville was the better job. Looking back I assume he knew it wasn't a better job, but it was going to be there, and, with the dissatisfaction the fan base had with Richt, UGA might not be there much longer. The recruiting at UGA may have been worth the hire of Pruitt, but he didn't save Richt. He was fired and Kirby was hired by the Bulldawg faithful.

Now Alabama needed a DC. Saban thought about it for awhile, and decided to replace Kirby with someone who knew his defense like Kirby did, and someone who could recruit like Kirby too. Was there anyone else that could be a better choice than Pruitt for this job? He coached under Kirby at Bama and had been a great recruiter there. Hell, he knew Saban's process. It was a match made in Heaven. It worked great for two years. He had great defenses and he won another Natty as a Bama assistant coach.

At the end of 2017, Pruitt was hired as Tennessee's coach. If you read the OP's article, you know this didn't work out.

Too bad he, and his wife, got caught cheating. With money being thrown around in CFB thru NIL, you'd think he might be hired somewhere to be a college assistant, and start working his way back up the ladder. You'd think NIL czars need bagmen too.

Jeremy Pruitt’s 5-stars

OLB Matthew Thomas
Booker T. Washington (Miami, FL)

ILB Ben Davis

RB Derrick Henry

OLB Dylan Moses

RB T.J. Yeldon
