There is Unmanned Ground Sensors (UGS) which is a whole class of products that can be disguised, and provide a varied gauntlet of detection.

This can detect underground tunneling from miles away.

There is aerial blimp-like observation blimps, Drones that can peer hundreds of miles to detect potential illegal border crossers.

Our country has had the ability to stop the illegal invaders for decades. The problem has been that our leaders, ya know the ones who are supposed to be looking out for us, did NOT want to stop it.

Doubt it. There's been a wall along the southeast AZ border since I first moved here in 2000, and it's still in place. And this is one of the major crossing points. I think most of the "new wall" is in remote areas with difficult terrain, not really any people there to dismantle it.
