When asked if the Republican primary for the U.S. Senate were held today, would you vote for Bill Cassidy, John Fleming, or Randy Arrington? 45% said they would vote for Cassidy, 34% were undecided, 18% would vote for Fleming, and 3% leaned toward Arrington.

The RINO will be re-elected comfortably. This is most certain for Louisiana.

I hate to shout out things the disparage my own species, but it is hard to bite my tongue when stuff like this is the case.

How is this possible? Cassidy sucks.

I’m very surprised by that.

Haven't polls discredited themselves? I know that I personally pay no attention to them

People know a name, most won't take the time to do some home work.

I suspect Louisiana’s elections have been compromised for a long long time

Fully explains incompetence sitting in Congressional seats until they’re 90 years old. People are lazy and not informed when it comes to politics.

At this point it's name recognition. La. voters are notorious for making their decision a week before the election. That's why state level candidates don't spend their limited money until election day is very close.

Some idiot that votes for him will say no one else ran. When that excuse is generally a lie.
They are just too lazy to look anything up. Too lazy to read an amendment.

People don't take time to look at receipts, y and z are the worst.
How much is the payment.

He won't get my vote. Some of this falls on the RNC. They should have feet on the ground and running commercials speaking truth to the majority of voters that just don't pay attention.
Folks here day in and day out hear truth and reality, unfortunately.... the MSM still reaches too many folks and they are ignorant.

I’d rather not vote than vote for this RHINO. He may as well run as a Dem.

Better sway that 34% undecided away from that a-hole.

If he's only at 45 now, most people don't want him. Let's get an opponent, and that number will change.
Posted on 5/2/25 at 5:25 pm to Crappieman
34% undecided for an incumbent does not bode well for him
Posted on 5/2/25 at 5:27 pm to Crappieman
45% won’t win a closed primary. What you have to hope for is that if both Fleming and Miguez run as well, whomever is the man out for the runoff isn’t butthurt and helps the other challenger in the primary runoff.

Meh. Campaign season hasn’t even started to get the gears in motion yet. Give it a year. By that time Trump will have most likely come with a full throated disparagement of Cassidy and Speaker Johnson throwing his support behind Fleming and it’s a different story.
