Robert Tyler Jr has passed on to that football field in the sky. Rest in Peace my brother. He was a great guy and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Prayers for our friend Big Rob as we call him. #44 LSU Football, FB
He's currently on a ventilator in Lafayette. He has had kidney disease for years, and was recently in the hospital for heart failure.
He played with Kevin Faulk, Cecil Collins, Tommy Banks, etc. LINK /
He needs our prayers and good vibes if you can spare some.
A video he made a few years back: LINK

His kids go to Westgate in New Iberia. Mr. Clean probably knows him.

I enjoyed watching him in the 90s while at lsu. Just an old school hammer fullback who sacrificed his body and ego for some really great running backs

Still remember his name being occasionally called over the PA in tiger stadium in the 90's.
"Robert Tyler carry"
Hang in there Big Rob.

I specifically remember having several undergrad classes with Robert Tyler as well as running into him at some house parties during those years. Prayers for his recovery
