Government over reach much? Are they playing the job of parents now???

quote:

Under House Bill 186, social media companies would be banned from allowing people in Texas under 18-years-old to create accounts. The platforms would also have to implement measures to verify the ages of users. Social media companies can use a commercially reasonable method that relies on public or private transactional data to verify age, so potentially uploading a photo ID.

I dont think the Trump presidency is going to stop the agenda. He isnt moving fast enough and they are toppling him with lawfare.

Hes lost.

I mean the alternative is we just continue to throw our kids to the wolves and watch them kill themselves.

I know, I know - parenting issues. But parents suck.

So does government.

I don't know the answer.

You change it to 15 I would probably be on board, 18 is a bit much.

I agree with the premise but this is the parents responsibility, not the governments.

I absolutely do not want any government having any say whatsoever in how I raise my kids and I dont give a shite who's in government doing it.

Matt Dillion said it best, "You can't start telling a man how to raise his own son."

Yes and I can think you are dumb for thinking its OK for the state to tell you how to raise your kids even more so than they already do.

Agreed. No matter the politics, we're all running into arms of Gov't Daddy.

If handling business = letting the Government intervene in your life more than it already does then go right ahead, sucker.

I do, you’re a fricking moron for supporting this. Social engineering is a terrible idea and a slippery slope
