Just purchased a used bay boat. Previous owner did not wash underside regularly and bottom half of hull is stained. Any recommendations on best product and method to restore? I know I need to wax after whatever treatment option I decide.

Thanks in advance!

Bleach and muscle will probably work.

Maybe the boat took a shite and owner didn't wipe adequately?

Try magic erasers first. It’s surprising how many spots they can scrub off.

I’m a fan of muriatic acid. Do your homework so you don’t burn the shite out of yourself.

Get a hull cleaner or just muriatic acid. Be careful it doesn’t take much. After you will want to wash and put a good coat of wax on

Starbrite hull cleaner. Follow the directions on the bottle.

It’s an acid. You won’t have to scrub a thing. It will strip any polish or wax off though. Immediately follow up with a polish or wax or it will quickly stain again.

Yeah, don’t do this. Magic eraser is basically fine grit sandpaper. It will get stuff off the hull, but it’s taking gel coat with it

Starbrite hull cleaner is the answer

AlumaBrite works like magic. But will also take of any wax or protective coating.

Oxacylic acid also known as wood bleach.

Mix it with water in a small cheap sprayer and spray away...let sit...rinse.

It's the best thing I've found so far.
